Here's a picture from our trip that I am posting for the photographer Erin Bell http://www.erinbellphotography.com I would love for her to take some with this idea, the texture on the barn is what I love. If she could make me look thinner I'd like that too ;-) I can't wait to share more pics from our Nova Scotia trip and I am super excited to have Erin photograph our family in September!

Ben and Black

I'm posting this pic in case a fellow 2peas friend wanted to see how I did my black background. If you are reading, this pic is far from perfect, I'm totally a beginner too :) But I like when I have a wrinkly black background to select it out and do the black painting.

My practice subject

So I am still practicing for the wedding and I will probably be practicing even after :) My goal is to get used to my flash and get good quality photos. Ben is my easiest subject lately. I did take a few of Maria but I didn't do as great a job. I'll post those next. Of course my wedding will be the hardest with an indoor setting and limited equipment I have. These pics are actually a combo natural/flash light. My biggest weakness is processing my photos in photoshop :( That is where you can really make your images pop, how to learn that?? I guess courses and $$$ which I don't have time for as I am starting my master's work again in the fall. Anway, hope you like these practice shots of Benjamin! He is now 4 months old yesterday. He weighed 15 lbs even and was 26 inches tall which makes him 95th for height and 50th for weight. I'm pretty tired these days but I am so enjoying my last time of being a mommy to a little one, and what a cute little one he is.
